Who are Hunters?
Hunters opened its first branch in 1992 in Goodramgate, York, with 4 staff. Set up by two ambitious entrepreneurs, Kevin Hollinrake and John Waterhouse, they had a vision to create the nation’s favourite estate agent. For them, that was not about being the biggest, but the best; being recognised for delivering the best customer service in order to become ‘the nation’s favourite’.
Hunters is now the 5th largest estate agency brand in the UK, with 200 branches nationwide; 12 are Hunters owned, the remainder are owned and operated by Hunters partners under franchising. All the while we have not lost sight of our core value of delivering outstanding customer service and are proud to have achieved a customer satisfaction rating of over 95% since 2013.
Today we offer residential sales and lettings services through over 200 branches across England, and 3 in Wales. We also offer additional services including traditional and online auction, land and new homes, block management, commercial, buy-to-let and international property.
The Hunters Training Academy was established in 2006 and provides a combination of classroom training, E-Learning courses and video-based training. The courses have been written and designed by estate agents for estate agents, are suitable for first entrants into the world of estate agency and progress through to specialised skills for career progression, including a suite of management training programmes.
