Main Stage

  • Nick was one of the first EweMove franchisees in the UK
  • In June 2017, he was recruited as Managing Director (Head Shepherd) for the EweMove brand, following its sale to The Property Franchise Group
  • Nick aspires to continue the dramatic growth achieved to date and reach 300 franchisees over the next two years

Nick spent his early career in retail financial services in roles encompassing Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Operations and Strategy Development. After obtaining his MBA from Edinburgh Business School in 2005, Nick moved into a B2B sales role with a payment processing business, developing and managing key relationships with large domestic and international banks, followed by a period as Commercial Director for a fuel card reseller. And after a reasonably short 2 year spell in the publishing business, selling tax information and guidance to the Big 4 Accountancy Firms, amongst others, Nick looked for a change in direction after many years in senior corporate roles, and established himself as one of the first EweMove franchisees in the UK, launching in Feb 2014.

Taking a new estate agency brand, with an all-new proposition, into a competitive market, with no experience in agency, may have seemed like a rash decision when coming from the safety and high earnings of corporate life. But Nick had faith, not only in his own ability, but also the strength and resonance of the brand when combined with a broad range of business and sales skills.

The results were better than expected with Nick’s EweMove franchise going from strength to strength and the network growing rapidly right across the UK. After the founders sold the business to The Property Franchise Group and stood down, Nick handed over his franchise to his wife Sarah to continue to run, and was recruited as Managing Director (or Head Shepherd as he likes to be known) for the EweMove brand in June 2017. He has overseen a period of growth and increased profitability in his first year and with aspirations to grow further from 125 franchisees to around 300 over the next 2 years, Nick expects to see much more of EweMove in every town and city in the UK.
