The Property Academy is undertaking the biggest study of the British estate agency industry for the second year running, in a quest to shine a light on the best performing agents and improve customer service standards.

The Best Estate Agent Guide (BEAG) seeks to raise industry standards by identifying and rewarding those agents that deliver extraordinary results for their customers.

It is compiled by the Property Academy and supported by the UK’s leading property portal Rightmove, following the most comprehensive assessment of its type ever undertaken of the property industry.

Using a number of different criteria, we assess four key areas: Marketing and lead generation; results – including whether the property sold or let and how quickly; customer experience; and market share.

We analyse:

  • Over 25,000 branches
  • 1 million properties listed on Rightmove at any one point in time
  • 1.5 million transactions
  • 25 million leads
  • 1.5 billion property views
  • 50,000 mystery shops (whole of market)
  • Market share score

The top performing branches are accredited with an exceptional (top 5%), excellent (top 10%) or highly rated classification and listed on bestestateagentguide.co.uk.

New for 2018/19, the top performing brands will also be recognised, based on their individual branch performance and the very best in each region and size band will win awards at the EA Masters event on 12th October.

Shortlist for Best Estate Agent Guide Awards

To discover if your single branch, small (2-5 branch) or medium sized (6-20 branch) estate agency business has been shortlisted for an award at the EA Masters, download the shortlist.

The shortlist for agents competing for an award in the Large and National category (defined as those with more than 20 branches, or operating across multiple regions), will be announced soon. To be kept informed, register for updates.

Agents not on the shortlist for a brand award at the EA Masters could still have some or all of their branches accredited and listed on bestestateagentguide.co.uk

The Best Estate Agent Guide 2019, featuring the full list of branches and award-winning brands, will be published on 12th October.

Identifying the best agents and listing them in the Best Estate Agent Guide is completely free of charge.

Only licensed branches are permitted to promote their performance rating in the Best Estate Agent Guide in other ways – including, but not limited to on agent’s own websites, social media channels, print and branch marketing.

To find out if you are in the Best Estate Agent Guide 2017/18 visit bestestateagentguide.co.uk before 12th October 2018.

Best EA Supplier Guide

In addition to recognising the Best Estate and Letting Agents, we also honour the best industry suppliers. We invite estate agents to rate all the suppliers that they use and also to nominate their favourite supplier and provide their reasons why. From this, we identify the best small, medium and large suppliers and present them with an award at the Best Estate Agent Guide Awards.

All suppliers are listed in the Best EA Supplier Guide on the Property Academy website.

If you are a supplier and would like to be included in the Best EA Supplier Guide, please register your interest in being included in the assessment using the form below.
